Random notes: April 12, 2023
You may have noticed a little blue coffee cup popping up every so often. I hope it's not too obnoxious. It's just a simple way to support the blog IF you like. No expectations or obligation whatsoever of course. I think I'm going to finally delete my old site. Hurts a little but a lot of the images got screwed up (I need to spend some time on some issues on this site too) and I hate to pay for it every month on top of everything else. Anyway, if you happen to be so inclined you can make a one time small donation (for the proverbial coffee) or a monthly one but please feel free to ignore.
Some random shots and notes:
Leo and a friend drove up to Minnesota, north of Duluth, to photograph some trains and signals near the iron mines up there. He's been planning it for a bit and I had mentioned to him that there was a sign in Superior that I'd always wanted to get. He kindly said he would if they could manage. When I did a little more research on it for the exact address I found it was gone. I cried. Not hysterically, more like teary and my voice got high. These signs are disappearing left and right--either destroyed or going into personal collections. I don't know why this one broke my heart so much but it did. RIP People's Drugs.
However, my sweet guy took it upon himself to take some shots whenever he saw something and yes, I will say it again, I love that boy so damned much.
