Random notes and a bit of the wander
Every time I see a headline about the British Royal Order of the Garter I read it as the Royal Order of the Garten and I imagine it as some huge Ina Garten tribute. And I gotta tell you, I'm good with that.
You've probably missed seeing pictures of us eating our standard breakfast (eggs over easy, hash browns, sausage patties, no toast), so here you go.

At first glance the hash browns looked pale but they were perfectly crispy. Everything was great, we gave it a rating of 9. Very high! You'll notice that Ernie loved the egg yolks so much that he eats around the yolk. I don't know why this amuses me, but it does. I, on other hand, believe in breaking the yolk immediately so it runs all over my hash browns and sausage. He ate every bit of that huge breakfast. I was impressed.

Speaking of art deco gas stations, here are two others I've come across. A somewhat bad picture (sorry, I was frazzled) of a beauty in Traverse City as well as one with amazing lettering in Macomb. I still think our new little friend wins the prize.

I have a soft spot for these Masonic signs and we got to see two of them on Saturday.

I'm always so pleased when we go to a small town and there's an IGA.

And yes, we're rather late but we have done some planting.

I swear to God, this guy is the best company.

More to come. Onward.
