Gauntlet Thrown
Ernie is making it a personal challenge to open canned food for Annie without Rascal hearing. I think if he manages this it will be a pyrrhic victory, but we shall see. He said that yesterday morning Annie was curled up in her little pod and Rascal was nowhere to be seen. So he crept into the bathroom with the cat food can, shut the door, and slowly, slowly, and quietly, popped open the can. He opened the door to head over to Annie, only to hear Rascal thudding down the stairs in excitement.

Heh.
It's Saturday morning and I find myself with absolutely zero plans for the weekend, and I am utterly delighted. It was a busy week being plunged back into work and the weekend rather crept up on me. Yesterday we went out for a drink, then came home built a big fire in the fireplace and relaxed, before binging some episodes of Broadchurch and making salmon fried rice. Today is starting out pretty much the same. I've got a fire in the fireplace and am going to start a slow cooked pork shoulder in a little while. I suppose we need to take the tree down. Oddly it lost a lot of needles but looks pretty good other than that. It does look the best in dim light, but then again, so do I. We'll keep it a few more days. I'm not ready to give it up. It makes the living room look warm even if it isn't. Oh, and at least the temperature is headed up. I'm tired of using three blankets to watch tv. I hate to lose the snow on the ground though. It makes me happy.
Onward.
