Random Notes from the Sandwich Life
1. I had a bit of a cold after Christmas, but not too bad, and then a bug of some kind over New Year's but overall I've been feeling a lot healthier and stronger. Of course, the night after we decide to put Annie to sleep, I woke up with a scratchy throat. I tried to ignore it and then dealing with Annie and that grief made me drink enough wine to not feel it. Friday I woke up with a cold. My body's way of paying tribute to Annie no doubt. Damn.
2. In other news, brilliant words out of Leo's mouth:
"Guitar picks are the new Lego. They're everywhere."
Yup, can't argue with that.
3. Owen is taking Culinary Arts and one of their first assignments was one of those 'get to know me' things in which he was supposed to write a recipe of himself.
The instruction went on to include, "spoon onto cookie sheet and bake until pasty white." I love that boy.
4. Our needleless tree is out and hopefully was picked up already, but the ornaments still sit on the dining room table, waiting to be put away. I almost hate to have them leave.
5. Hopefully something will shake me out of my cold induced grumpiness. We shall see.
Onward.
