Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  Huh, I'm feeling rather cheerful. Imagine that!  I just ordered some more Christmas presents and then I called in to check on my mother and she sounded.......really good!  Yes, she sounded like herself.  It was so nice I can't even tell you!

2.  Owen has become downright obsessed with one of his books that Debbie sent him last year.  It's called Owen and Mzee and we read it first thing in the morning and last thing at night and sometimes in between.  He even brought it to school with him today to show his teacher.  He's very proud that Owen the hippo has the same name as him....

3. Did I tell you that my beloved cast iron pot that Ernie got me cracked?  Can you believe it?  I was so happy with it...used it several times but one day Ernie went to clean it out and found it cracked.  I am so sad.....

4.  My parents' homecare worker offered to decorate their Christmas tree for them but my mother declined....she wants us to do it. sigh.  I'll squeeze it in somehow.....
