Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  Sorry about the whiny post yesterday....sometimes that's just what comes out....

2.  Went to my mothers' last night and Ernie hunted and hunted and hunted (my father moved things around a lot, particularly at the end) until he found the little Christmas tree that my Dad's mom gave my mother many years ago---and that she wanted out.  At least this time he didn't find possums in the basement.  Anyway---did that and pulled some other Christmas stuff out for her.

3.  Made a great dinner last night---mostly because I had some amazing leftovers from an Indian meal that someone I work with had so kindly made for us.  Judi loved it but I notice that she seems to come down for shorter periods of time lately and hasn't been getting dressed.  She didn't seem to feel great this morning---didn't have her light or her tv on, said she was a bit dizzy.  Have to figure out what I'm going to make for dinner tonight.  I like cooking for her.  Seems like one of the only things I can do for her these days. 

4.  I just watched this and it cheered me up IMMENSELY....  I'm sure it would do the same for you.

5.  Saturday is my official hang out with the guys for holiday stuff.  Any activity recommendations?  Any easy Christmas cookie recommendations?

6.  Ernie and I were at Barnes and Noble the other day and saw an anniversary edition of Corduroy.  I almost wanted to buy it.  Leo ADORED that book.  He'd just walk up to us and say "Corday, Corday" and we'd have to read it over and over and over and OVER.  He would sleep with that book.  One time he tore a page sleeping with it and the top of his head almost burst open.  Luckily we had two copies of it.  ahhhh Corday.....  Here he is at two---I am hugely pregnant with Owen and reading Corduroy for about the tenth time that evening....

 

7.  Here's something from Ernie's Christmas Past:
