Life, Round Something or Other

Harder than I thought to go back to work yesterday.  Not because of my job, just because by going back to our regular schedule, our regular daily life, well.....it means everything that has happened is real.  Very real.

That's hard.

Yesterday morning Ernie said, "well, hopefully you'll be less pathetic when you get to work."  I GUESS he was trying to be supportive....  I was a bit out of it.  I imagine today will be a bit easier.

Oh, and just a note of advice....be careful when you tell your child that if his finger still hurts tomorrow then we can take him to the doctor.  He was supposed to totally forget that....not use it as a way to avoid school.  Sigh.  But when you have a child BEGGING you to take him to the doctor like you promised....well, it's hard to say no.

Oh, and just now I went to the push down the toaster lever so that I could have one of my New York Bagel and Bialy bagels for breakfast…..and a MOUSE leapt up from behind the toaster and scurried down the counter….  I guess I’ll be taking a Kashi bar to work with me instead…..
