Here I sit....

Here I am at home.....sitting with a sick little blonde while his father is getting the Eraserhead treatment with an MRI at the Spine Institute.  I was SUPPOSED to be at a meeting with an attorney regarding Judi's estate.  Now I will have to take yet another morning off work to do that next week.  Geesh.

When I came downstairs this morning Owen was lying on the couch (unusual) staring at his bowl of Rice Crispies.  Hmmmm.  I talked to him a bit and finally told him he was staying home.  He solemnly informed me, "I'm not lying about this Mom, because if I were I'd be smiling by now."  I told him I could tell he wasn't lying and kissed him. 

Leo then told me I was a bad parent because I was trying to ruin his life by making him brush his teeth.  And we call OWEN the dramatic one.....

I wish I could crawl back into bed.

I just would like this week to be over.  Friday we'll meet with Sapiente and figure out the next steps.....and that will feel good.

A couple of comments on recent comments:

I LOVED Nancy's idea of changing this to The Panini Life due to all the pressure we're under.  I giggled and giggled and giggled.

When I read her comment out loud to Ernie...  "....you deserve a month of bawling...." He looked at me quizzically and finally said, "a month of balling?"  "NO... a month of BAWLING...." and spelled it for him.  Then we giggled and giggled and giggled some more.  "Not that you don't deserve it" he said..."  I mean let's face it....prostate cancer and treatment for prostate cancer....well, as the first surgeon we saw said, "it's not going to do your sex life any favors...."

Cathy of Growing Curious also asked me what friends that aren't close by could do.  All I can say is how much I appreciate each and every comment and email, every kind thought, every prayer, every wish.  It is comforting to both of us.  In fact Ernie asked me to thank everyone on his behalf.  He reads each and every one.  So thank you all----those we know in real life, those I know via this blog, those that comment for the first time----thank you all.

Ernie should be home soon....guess I better hop in the shower and trundle off to work....
