Oh Wait....

I forgot my best random note.....last night Owen started asking if we could go to the store and get bratwurst so he could have that for dinner.  I started in with my 'no, it's too late to go to the store, we have other things for dinner' and lo and behold his father offered to go to the store for him.  I must say I like having a soft touch for a husband.  So off they trundled while I sat in the yard grumbling at the drizzle that was starting.  Given that I didn't want bratwurst I went inside to fuss around the kitchen and see what I could make. 

They walked into the kitchen a bit later, Ernie holding a grocery bag with a strange look on his face and said, "Cynthia----something you don't see everyday at Schnuck's"  I tipped my head and looked at him and he said "George Clinton" and burst out laughing.  Then Owen did an imitation of George Clinton walking through the grocery store.  The two of them giggled and giggled.

It's really a shame that I had just told Ernie that Clinton was playing that night at the Canopy Club----can you imagine how amazed he would have been if he didn't know that?
