I am so touched by all the comments both here and over at Smile Politely.  I mean I said go over there and say something nice….but I didn’t really expect you all to….

You guys just about made me cry.

You also made me WAY happy.

Now, as a treat….a picture of my pot of mesclun.  Isn’t it gorgeous?  My friend Sarah Eckhardt sent me a link to a NYT article awhile back about Felder Rushing, a proponent of ‘slow gardening’ and I really loved it.  He had pots of lettuce on his steps that were gorgeous so when I was trying to decide what to put in this pot….I went with a lettuce mix….

oh, and wish me luck in not yelling at one of the neighborhood kids that drives me insane and is over playing with Owen.....geesh.....  I think I'm blowing off the City meeting about the flooding problems in our neighborhood.....I am a concerned, yet tired, citizen....
