The News-Gazette and Marigolds

My husband gets more out of the newspaper than anyone I know. He also won't read the paper until he's read every single inch of the previous one which drives me insane but that's another issue (we had to stop getting the Sunday New York Times delivered years ago because he was incapacitated for much of the week).

He particularly loves the letters section and in our esteemed local paper there can be some delights.  He still reminisces fondly over the letter some years ago complaining about the pepperoni not being even on their pizza.  We're sitting in the front yard right now and he's cackling with glee over some particularly mmmmm....well....stupid letters I  guess you would say.  He quieted down but then I looked over and I saw a little smirk.  "What?" I asked and he just smiled happily, tapped the table with the folded paper and said, "mmmm....just good letters tonight."

Good Lord.

Oh....and I just told him that the Top Chef Masters finale was on tonight and he positively gasped and then paled with excitement....."oh, a banner night....I didn't KNOW......"

Good Lord.

I love that man.

He loves marigolds too....which I find rather endearing.
