Hints of Fall

Ernie harvested the last of the tomatoes yesterday.  The plants had pretty much given up the ghost and the longer the tomatoes stayed on the vine the more they seemed to turn bad.  So out of the garden beds they went and into the house came a couple of bowls of green tomatoes, ripe tomatoes and many more in between.

Usually the first signs of fall excite me....this year feels different for whatever reason.  I think it's because I sometimes panic at how fast time is moving......I want it to slow down.....the good AND the bad....

Just slow down.
