Fevers and Red Wing and Milktoast....
I'm at home with a sick Owen. I could just spit with frustration. Ernie is out of town and of course my mother is still in the hospital so here I sit even though I know this won't be a popular decision where I work. ARGH.
Damn it.
At least it's grey and cold out----I'd be really pissed if the weather were nice and I know that makes no sense at all.
My mother may come home from the hospital today.....am I a terrible daughter if I just hope she stays for another day?
Earlier Ernie packed up the last few things for the antique show he's heading to. A few of the things came from Judi's house. It brought back so much looking at them. It will be a year this Halloween that she moved in with us. Ernie and I went to South Carolina that December to get some of the things from her house before it sold. She died in February and when this antique show came around in March it was just too soon to put her things out----even though some of them I had brought specifically to sell. So this morning as I sat in the living room trying to WILL healthiness onto Owen I just sat and stared at her things as he packed them up. Ernie asked if I wanted to hold onto them and I said no----that I was ready.
Perhaps I'll try to cheer myself up with the last Milktoast video (THANK YOU PETE!).
