Infusions and Guardian Angels

Yesterday was not the best of days.  I had a conflict at work that prevented me from going to the Cancer Center with Ernie for his infusion.  Now, I know he's physically able to go on his own but my theory is that nobody should ever go to the Cancer Center along.  And maybe I just do it for myself....I don't know.  So I got cross with people at work and felt rotten.  After work I headed to the nursing home and sat with my mother as she ate dinner with two other women.  I saw her doctor and she told me they are sending her home next week.  Then her homecare worker showed up and talked and talked and talked.  I told my mother I was going home and she said, "oh, I thought tonight was going to be the night you stayed longer" so I stayed a while longer.  Her homecare worker kept talking and I was tired.  I finally went home.

When I got home Ernie and I talkedabout our days and I could tell how hard it was for him to be at theCancer Center alone.  Some members of a Mennonite church came in andsang Christmas songs and gave them little gifts of candy canes and ahomemade ornament.  I hugged him and we both cried.

Then I sat down and went through my mother's paperwork to try to digout the information I need for completing her State prescription drugcoverage.  It's not due til the 31st but last year I did it right atthe end and there was a gap in coverage.  I had meant to get it in muchearlier this year....

Oh....but the BIG news is that the boys said they have found tracesof paranormal activity in our house and they asked the question, "areyou Judi" and there was a knock in response.  The three of them (Rickywas over) came racing down the stairs screaming with excitement tellingme that Judi was THERE, as Owen said with great excitement, "SHE'S OURGUARDIAN ANGEL AND SHE'S UPSTAIRS."  They decided to go back up and look for more clues.  Somebody suggested the bathroom and then Leo said excitedly, "well she died in my room---right where I sleep----let's go look THERE!"

Man I love those boys.....and my guardian angel.
