Two Sick Boys and the Inequities of Being the Youngest....
Two sick boys today.....well, er, at least one sick boy and one possibly-just-a-good-actor boy. I'll let you guess as to which is which.....
HA! Pretty tough, huh?
Gray, gray day but it's a long weekend. Woo-hoooooo! I'm sitting here playing Tommy Womack and Will Kimbrough stuff on you tube and having to physically restrain myself from ordering some cds. Those fricking furlough days are going to kill us. When you live as close to the bone as we do.....and all four of us on my salary.....well, let's just say cds and trips to fries and peanuts are going to be in short supply. Perfect timing for our upcoming party. Oh well...that will keep our souls happy and full of music so it's all good..... And I know....I'm lucky to have a job, I'm lucky to have a job, I'm lucky to have a job. I'll just keep repeating that....I'm lucky, I'm lucky, I'm lucky....
I saw Art Clokey died recently. It made me think back to the fact that JUDI had Gumby and I got freaking Pokey. Come on....who the hell wants Pokey? I'll also note that I didn't have a Barbie like my sisters....I had MIDGE and Skipper. For God's sake..... MIDGE? Oh, and I might note that when we all had trolls.....Debbie had a cool redhaired one with black tips (real red, not orange), Judi had one with beautiful dark brown hair and I had one with this sort of peachy-orange hair. Huh. I ask you? Is that right.....just because I was the youngest? Oh, and when we played kitchen or bakery or whatever in the sun room of my grandparent's house in Maine? Well, I NEVER got the egg beater until after my sisters had it....and then when they gave it to me they never wanted to play anymore.
But I have that eggbeater NOW. HA.....that'll show 'em......
