Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1. Just heard that the school board IS interested in buying my folks' house.  They have to get an appraisal, we'll give them a copy of our appraisal and hopefully start the process....but that's good news.  Of course in some ways it makes me a little sad as they're buying it for the land and will eventually just tear the house down.  It's a sweet little house but needs an awful lot of work at this point in time.  SO...something good and perhaps this will FORCE us to finish up cleaning it out!

2.  The boys were in major disgrace yesterday but they manage to charm their way out of it.  I am such a sucker.

3.  Someone will be doing the appraisal of our house today for our refinancing.  Good LORD but I feel adult these days....trusts and wills and refinancing and trying to sell houses.  Geesh.

4.  I think we're going to take a little bit of the money from my mother's house and try to remodel our downstairs bathroom...you know, the one where the on/off switch for the light over the sink is in the basement.  Kind of scary because we may be opening a can of worms.  Any recommendation for the work?

5.  O.k., o.k....it's the time of year that you will see shot after shot of zinnias and kale and swiss chard 'cause that's just the kind of girl I am...  I can't decide which picture I like better so I'll put both on and you can tell me which you like....  One is quiet, one is loud.....
