Random Notes from a Blistering Sandwich
1. Good Lord but I love Annette D'Anna. I got a visit from her yesterday as she swept into town to see Lonely Trailer at the Music Fest Thing and I swear nothing could have made me happier. I practically followed her down the steps, still talking, as she left. We could have talked for hours more....hopefully next time we will. Life just gets so darn busy and complicated----I need to focus more on friends like her that do our hearts good.
2. My sunburn is getting better....everyone agrees that my breasts don't look quite so much like steaks on a grill (I'm showing them to everybody these days). Although the blister/itching thing is driving me a bit crazy. I decided to take a nice lukewarm shower, thinking that would help and all my blisters puffed up like balloons. Freaked me out a bit. Opened the bathroom door and bellowed for my husband as there was a crowd of boys working on Lego in the next room. He commiserated and patted me dry. Geesh....what the hell?
3. The boys (Leo, Owen, Parker and Dema---but Leo and Parker in particular) have created Lego stores. Leo seems to be doing most of the selling but evidently Parker got some kind of gift card because he bought so much (I believe the currency is Lego bricks). Leo told me it was some kind of rewards program. There's also a donation box which Parker seems to contribute to a lot so they're definitely keeping to true to themselves. Man I love those boys.
4. This is what the empty lot next to us (known as The Field) looks like when a Tufte mows it. I love those Tuftes.
