Sunburnt Summer Mode

I think I'm finally coming back to life after my sunburn.  The last few days I've been headachy and out of it----just kind of muzzy headed.  Lots of aloe vera, ibuprofen and cool showers have helped.  The nights and first thing in the morning are the worst.  Yesterday morning as I laid there half asleep I heard Owen open up the bottle of aloe vera and smooth it on my back so that it wouldn't hurt so bad when I woke up.  Pretty much makes up for when he drives me insane.  Anyway...I'm starting to heal....and peel of course.  And who knows....maybe someday I'll be able to wear a bra again.  Woo-hooo. 

The combination of the lightheadedness and peeling sunburn with the heavy, humid air have put me into pure vacation mode.  But I guess that's fitting----next week the Mid-Summer party with Fats and Kristi Rose and then the following week we leave for Maine and I turn a shockingly old age!  And hell....then it's August.

But before August I'll get to drive across the country with an 8 year old, a ten year old, a fourteen year old (!) and my husband, spend the week in Maine with my sister Debbie, smell the salt air, eat some lobster and sit on the rocks and stare at the ocean.  It will do us all good.
