Happy Anniversary to the Boy I Love
It's Friday morning and I am NOT at work! Woo-hooooo! What am I doing? I'm sipping my coffeemilk, listening to Justin Townes Earle as loud as my laptop will go and admiring my boys' report cards. You know what the most hysterical thing about parent-teacher conferences was? Owen's teacher said he was quiet. QUIET!! We actually said, "did you say OWEN was QUIET?" and she assured us he was. Huh. My, my, my, don't we all have many sides because I usually can't get that boy to stop making noise. My sweet peas. I was proud of them. We told them we were proud of them when we got home and Leo just gave us a little smile while Owen assured us he was proud of us too.
We got a really hard frost last night....I was hoping my kale would make it through a little longer. We'll see how it is. Last night Ernie did an evening harvest to save what we could.
It is our 22nd anniversary today (thank you Matt and Beth for the first wishes of the day) and I feel so blessed. Jason Ringenberg will be our anniversary present to each other. Pretty damn good, huh?
Ernie, Ernie, Ernie, Ernie.
Happy Anniversary baby.....
