Random Notes from a Recovering Sandwich

1.  Owen and I are better today, although he still had a bit of a temp this morning....but we're getting there, we're getting there.  Right now he and his father are watching a Sponge Bob...and Owen's all clean from his shower....man, that has to feel good, doesn't it?  Leo's on the iMac studying Lego and I am curled up in front of the fire with my beloved, albeit falling apart (as in it's chipping and periodically little pieces of it fall off), laptop and I'm in the perfectly tired and mindless state in which to enjoy things like YouTube and other internet glories.  It was a quiet weekend but that certainly has its charms. 

2.  The birthday party has been rescheduled for next Sunday and Owen's current request for a cake is a Michael Jackson hat and glove.  We shall see what my husband comes up with....

3.  I need some reading recommendations.  Nothing too heavy...I tend to read before bed....but I'm at a loss right now.....so suggestions are welcome.

4.  The question of the day from the boys was "what's a douchebag?"  Sigh.  I felt I couldn't merely explain what a douche bag is, I had to also talk about the societal reasons/problems with it being an insult.  Not sure how it went.  Leo just blinked and Owen said maybe they were too young to talk about it.  God, I love those boys.

5.  I made a facebook page for our house concerts.  I always tell people to friend me on facebook but sometimes I think people are hesitant and this way I won't be sending stuff to those friends that aren't interested.  Take a look at it and see what you think.  For some reason we're listed as a non-profit organization.  I don't remember making that choice but it's certainly true.  HA!

6. I'm off to eat some homemade chicken pot pie....here's a picture of the Cultural Center from our recent trip to Chicago.....
