Random, Random, Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  Let me ask you a little question?  WHO came up with the idea that we could do a party on Friday night and then one again on Sunday?  Evidently I did.  Craziness.  Pure craziness.  Sigh.

2.  And I'm worried we won't have enough people for Pat DiNizio (Smithereens) so please spread the word far and wide, o.k?  Anybody can forward the facebook invite to others.... 

3.  Tonight we're having friends over for dinner---the friends that are dealing with a recent cancer diagnosis so we figured the hell with the house and our schedule, we need to see them.  Luckily while cleaning the kitchen recently we uncovered a gift certificate for Sushi Kame that we had never used so that's what we're having!  The boys are grumbling about having to dismantle Lego City but it has to happen for the weekend anyway.

4.  Last night Owen left a note on the stairway reminding himself to play Lego with Leo this morning.  Just in case he forgot I guess....  No worries though--he remembered.

5.  I dread the start of thunderstorms again.  The other night boy the boys were both in bed with their lights out and I heard a rumble of thunder.  DAMN.  I heard Owen's little voice calling, "Mom....what was that?"  Good mother that I am I innocently said, "I don't know honey, I didn't hear anything."  I got what I deserved though as just then there was a flash of lightning. I sighed and said, "o.k....come on in our room."

Enough rambling....I gotta go to work....

6.  Oh, and I'm quite enjoying the kerfuffle about the Mayor canceling the debate.  Particularly when you read the emails that the Student Senate released that show quite clearly that it WAS on the Mayor's  calendar.  Let's hope he finds time for a debate sponsored by an organization more to his liking.  Geesh.

DAMN but I wish I could have been at the Government Cheese reunion this last weekend.  And yes, that is THE Warner Hodges on guitar with them....
