Out Like a Lion and the Nazz
In like a lion.....out like a lion....that's my sweet pea.
Fifth grade graduation yesterday. The school called it Fifth grade promotion but Leo insisted it was graduation and who am I to argue? He is now a middle schooler....sigh.
And I couldn't possibly love that sweet, sweet curmudgeon anymore. He went out just like he went in....standing perfectly still and refusing to participate in the song and its requisite hand movements. God I love him. He could not possibly be more true to himself and I am very proud of that. It makes me want to kill him of course but I am truly proud of his strength.
When we first saw him walk in and go to his spot on the risers Ernie leaned over and whispered, "I think he's in full Paul Westerberg mode." Then he paused and said, "actually he looks more like a member of the Nazz."
I think the Nazz was the right call:
Forgive my lousy pictures but there he is in the first row in the green shirt:
I couldn't possibly be more proud of him.
