Notes on a Few Friends....

1.  My beloved Don Gerard was listed with Susana Baca, Peruvian Minister of Culture, Peter Garrett, Member of Australian House of Representative, Sonny Bono, U.S. Representative and Michel Martelly, President of Haiti on MTV's Hive Five: Musicians with Political Cred.  Very, very amusing.  That's my guy......

2.  In exciting news of of ther friends, two of my very favorite people, Matt and Beth Starks, have started a small business, the Grapevine Florist, or as they put it: Champaign Urbana's very own local, organic, micro-florist!  When I was recovering from my vacation illness, Matt showed up at our door with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers-----all EXACTLY my favorite kind of old fashioned classic flowers....zinnias and cosmos and sunflowers and conflowers and bachelor's buttons....it truly DID make me feel better.  Hop over to their website and/or watch the video Matt did below.  Matt and Beth are like Don actually-----in that all three of them are friends that I believe will do a great job of whatever they put their heart into.  I adore them both...so if you want to treat someone....OR yourself.....contact the Grapevine Florist.  Highly, highly recommended!

Matt and Beth have been enormous support to our family as we have made our way through the last several years.  We don't see them as often anymore because evidently you can't FORCE children to stay good friends just because all the parents want to hang out together.   That's o.k. though because now that our kids are older we'll just go out without them!  Do go check out the Grapevine Florist!  I know you will be pleased....
