Sunday

Sometimes Sunday mornings are the days we bite the bullet and look at our bank account and budget, or lack thereof.  It's never fun but I usually feel better when it's over.  Today I also finally sat down and figured out what I owe my sister Debbie for her final share of my mother's estate.  I didn't want to do it because I didn't want to see how much money we had spent of OUR share and sure enough it hurt like hell.  It's always better to know however.  Ugh.  I've got my fingers crossed that the IRS stuff will work out so I'm going to go ahead and disburse her share.  I also have a whopping $80 left in my sister Judi's estate account which I need to close out.  It's been one of those things....just like having the date of my mother's date put on the gravestone---that I put off.  It's time though.  It's time.  Hopefully the IRS stuff will work out and Medicare will finally stop sending me notices about coverage of my mother as she was dying.  Maybe I'll close Judi's account and take the family out dinner with the money or something.  And it will all be over.

Kinda.

Today is absolutely gorgeous though and we're about to head off the Mahomet Railway Museum for a special tour from a friend of a friend.  After that I have nothing planned except to possibly give our cat Hattie a bath...which is a WHOLE nother story.  I'm hoping Owen will want to be involved....

I'm thinking meatloaf for dinner.  I found some ground bison and some ground pork that we'd bought at the farmers' market and put in the freezer.  I had some of our kale last night but it was a little bitter....maybe it needs some more cold weather.  I like a little bitterness in it but not too much....  It might be time for some green tomatoes recipes though....we've got quite a few and they won't ripen at this point...and although the swiss chard didn't do great this year....there's some in the garden....

Sunday.
