Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  I am feeling better.  A little tired but MUCH better.  Thank you for the good thoughts!

2.  What does it say about Leo that out of all the O words suggested for his acrostic describing himself---the one he was really liked and chose to use was:  omniscient.  My little all knowing one....  Thanks to Danelle for the word although I liked my original choice of ornery....

3.  Thanks to all that are paying ahead for the Rod Picott/Amanda Shires show.  It really helps us out!  I think (crossed fingers) we'll have a good crowd---but there is still room if you'd like to make it.  And if you can't pay ahead--that's fine too----it'll be $25 at the door.  Can't WAIT!!!

4.  Any suggestions on what to do with these radishes?  I actually am not all that crazy about radishes....but they were SO gorgeous I bought two bunches....

5.  Likewise for pomegranates.  It seems like a lot of recipes just call for sprinkling the seeds on something or else pureeing them.  I've got five beauties....what should I do with them?  Going to Meijers' produce section is dangerous for me.  I was beside myself....I'd just look at Ernie with begging eyes as I held an empty plastic bag, "but Ernie...FIVE pomegranates for FIVE dollars...and TWELVE limes for a DOLLAR.....we HAVE to get them....."

6.  I start the meat sauce for the moussaka tonight.  Lamb and beef and currents and lots of good things.

7.  Today is the day all Lego is supposed to move upstairs.  We'll see how that goes...

8.  from Owen's little guitar notebook.  I love that his teacher wrote his recommendation for coldsore treatment at the top of the page.  Owen must have been complaining.
