The Queen of Nostalgia
I do seem to be the queen of nostalgia sometimes although I don't think it's at expense of the present. I enjoy that too! I was hunting through old pictures because somewhere I know I have a picture of Ernie and me sitting on the stairs at Record Service....the stairs at which hundreds of employees sat during a slow shift....or their friends sat so they could talk to them between customers.... I can't find it but I did dig up various old pictures of Ernie and me that made me giggle. Forgive the lousy scans.....
A few of Ernie:
Ernie c. 1982 or1983 on the porch of the little bungalow near Lincoln and Springfield that we shared with David Conroyd. They tore it down for an ugly apartment building about 15 years ago. You know that Lucinda Williams song 'the lines around your eyes?' I loved that.
no words really necessary.....have you ever seen a cuter face? And he's doing that silly tongue thing that he still does....
a couple of me:
sitting the hallway of my dorm Allen Hall talking to my mother. The phone cord reached just far enough to sit there. Some guy took this picture, was his name Hal? And then exhibited in some student show with a picture of himself masturbating superimposed over it. Eh.
and then some of us together:
And lest you ever forget Owen's reminder that Leo is a joyful person....here he is between his father and my father looking pretty damn joyful!
