Lessons in Customer Relations: Geesh Charter Fitness in Urbana
Good God. Are people just stupid? Or are they just mean? What is it?
My friend Teri has gone to Charter Fitness in Urbana for six years. If you know Teri you know she is a stand up person. She is the biggest fan of those she believes in, she is a straight shooter---if something is wrong she'll bring it up but never in a malicious or damaging way. I admire her. She's one of my favorite people but that's really beside the point.
In the last couple of months she's been frustrated by ongoing air conditioning problems at the gym. It would be 75+ when she got there at 5:30 a.m. NOT the best temperature for working out. So after speaking to them about it to no avail, and with seemingly no solution she commented on their facebook page, pleading for them to get the situation under control.
The other day, after her six years of support, Brad, of the Urbana location, REVOKED her membership because of her complaints.
Are you freaking kidding me? Way to handle a problem Brad. It's laughably stupid in terms of customer relations....it just boggles the mind....
Geesh.
