Friday.....
Oh man....today was just one of those days. I locked myself out of my job on a day when nobody else would be there and yet I had a 9:00 meeting. I raced around, managed to get a key only to find my keys in my purse. Yes, I am admitting that. I didn't think I would but here I go....naked before you yet again. Geesh. Then nothing else seemed to go right all morning...nothing earth shattering but just one of those days. I had a lovely lunch with my husband. We bought flowers at fleurish to bring a friend but God help me....they looks so good on my mantel that I may keep them!
Owen came home and is glorying in his trumpet. He gets to play When the Saints Go Marching In for a school concert next week so suffice to say I wake up in the night with When the Saints Go Marchin In RINGING in my hears. Then Leo got home though and he just broke my heart. He had a terrible day and man, oh man....there is nothing worse than having someone you adore have such a bad day.
Hopefully the rest of the day will be o.k. I tracked down the Lewis and Clark documentary that was supposed to be Leo's field trip today and got cancelled because of the bus being late/snow. Perhaps we can all watch that tonight. And I am planning to attempt my favorite dish of childhood.....the meatloaf mashed potato roll.....we'll see if I can do it!
Despite it all, and despite all the slushy mess....I was so happy that we got snow. Last night I went out in the front yard while it was pouring down and OH it was glorious.....
