A Whole New World

I love having Leo back home. Yesterday I just leaned against the kitchen peninsula and watched him. Finally he stopped doing whatever he was doing on the computer and said, "Why are you looking at me?" And I told him I was just admiring him because when he was gone I forgot how beautiful he was. He gave a snort of sorts and went back to his computer.

Then I asked him some questions about the trip. Who were his roommates? Did he like them? Did he find much to eat? What was his favorite thing? He gave me polite one or two word answers and finally said, "Why are you asking me these things?"

God I love that boy.

Then I asked him if he felt as though a whole new world apart from us had opened up for him. At that one he gave me a tiny smile and nodded his head. That made me so happy.

I kissed him a bunch of times to make up for lost time and told him I'd leave him alone. Later on though we looked at his pictures again and I showed him how to make an album in iPhoto for them. I'm still good for something.
