Onward

I think I am feeling more human. I have been busy sending off email thank you's to everyone. I know paper would be better but I'm trying to stay realistic!

Debbie is most likely going home today. Our infreakingcredible landlady in Higgins Beach/or her daughter are going to pick Debbie up, take her to buy a cane, and bring her back to her car. Can you believe it? Last year we broke their refrigerator drawer and they still liked us....but this? Really? Talk about above and beyond (I will write more about their place soon---it is a fabulous place to stay).

Debbie sounds much, much better and feels good about driving. I was concerned the other day but feel o.k. with it now. She is anxious to get home. I know it's all a little overwhelming for her...but she sounds good. Again, I can't thank every one enough for the love and support, both emotional and well...fiscal. Thank you with all our heart and I promise each and every one of you that contributed that we will pass that generosity on, if not to you directly, then to someone else that needs it. We are grateful beyond words, at least articulate words....

I swore we'd work on moving the Lego room today, or go buy school supplies, but then again.... We'll see. Ernie and Owen have cooked the last two nights so I think I'm ready to start planning something. You know I feel better when I miss cooking.

I did break down and take pictures of my farmers' market haul after all yesterday. Ernie smoked ribs and we had this corn and lots of beautiful tomatoes, drizzled with fresh basil, good olive oil and a bit of nice balsamic vinegar. Summer.
