Glow.
O.k....can I just say that occasionally I get tired of hearing people say how blessed they are and fortunate they are, etc? I can't help it.....I've got this curmudgeonly side to me that sometimes makes me want to say 'yeah, yeah, yeah....whatever,' and roll my eyes. But honestly? Ummm....I'm really blessed to have such great friends and family.
So there you go. I don't know what that makes me. A hypocrite? Sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm thinking. For example lately I've fallen into watching videos of cute kittens and dancing birds. "WHO ARE YOU?" I ask myself....to no avail I might note.
Anyway...back to blessings/good fortune/appreciation for the moment.
DAMN I had a good time last night.
Going out with friends after a somewhat trying day? Check.
Going to a Dr. John concert because your beloved friend Teri gave you tickets for your anniversary? Check.
Finding an amazing little pizza place, Lucca Grill, with an extraordinary tin ceiling? Check, Check, Check!
Getting to have dinner with Teri, Brian, Bob and another Terry? Check.
Wonderful, intimate, friendly (albeit somewhat brightly lit) venue at the Bloomington Performing Arts Center? Check.
Running into friends? Check.
Great show? Check.
Getting driven from door to door by Brian? Check.
Uh. Yeah.
Pretty damn good.
So the glow of the whole evening rather echoed the glow we are still feeling from our anniversary celebration, which is only appropriate as these tickets were an anniversary gift. I think I've already written a post about our anniversary and yet I have found myself wanting to write about it again. We've gotten most of the thank you cards out...still have a few left....but we find ourselves still smiling about it and still feeling the warmth of that love. Once again I must thank everybody who made it such a special night.

And every one who sent us good wishes, posted kind words about us, and made us feel so loved. We are still feeling it, and I guess we always will. What an incredible gift you gave.
I'm not sure I ever put Richard's photos here on the blog....
Thanks again all.
