Tiredness and Thanks

Thank you for all the kind words. They help. People say they wish they could do something...but really, the words of love and support help so much.

Can I say it's been a long week? Only Wednesday I know. We talked to the boys a bit last night to make sure they understood where things are and aren't thinking their father will die tomorrow. It's hard to know if you're communicating things clearly and appropriately. They are old enough at this point though that we don't try to hide anything. After all, they're smarter than we are and can sense things uncannily, and above all else, they adore their father.

The good news is that Ernie's back is feeling better so we're hoping that the back pain is NOT caused by the metastasis. That being said, the bone scan (and MRI) still show problem areas in the spine and evidently prostate cancer just LOVES the spine...and since we know (via biopsy five years ago) that it has already spread into the spine...AND his PSA is going up, he will go back on the hormones as planned.

It all just makes me tired....always my reaction to stress. I struggle with trying to stay somewhat on top of things both at home and at work while still feeling like this aspect of my life is out of control. But we all struggle with that one way or another I know.

Looking forward to having Rod Picott here on March 1. As Ernie said, we need these shows more than ever.
