It was such an incredibly lovely night. Today Owen said to me, "I think I'll always have Jon Byrd's voice embedded in my head" and I knew exactly what he meant, and what a wonderful thing that will be. Triple threat....the voice, the songs, the playing....so painfully beautiful. The phrase I use at work, ichi-go, ichi-e was never more poignant. One time, one opportunity. One moment, one life. As wonderful as it will be next time I see him it will not be quite like last night.
