DECEMBERSONGS 2014

Damn but these people are crazy good. Rod Picott started the first set with his own songs and I thought to myself "oh man....they shouldn't have started with Rod.....he is so damn good, who wants to come after that?" Well....then Amy Speace played. Huh. I've got no words for how great she is. Sometimes videos and recorded bits just can't prepare you. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful songs and voice. And who could follow that? Well....Wild Ponies could. Wild Ponies just pulls at your heart in the way only great musicians do. I tell you. Crazy. It's really a brilliant combination of music and songs. They are all very different and so they balance each other perfectly. Oh, and funny and delightful people....have I mentioned that?

Thank you with all my heart to this beloved foursome. They're playing all the hell over the place this month so DO go see them if you can. The evening will heal all of the nicks of daily life that sometimes feel like they are covering you up. I promise.

Thanks to all that came---we had some new folks too (hey Vic and company!) which was wonderful!! As always I wish we'd had a few more people to make it more profitable for the artists....so please know I TRULY appreciate all that made it!!!

Oh, and it was a white wine crowd. I would have sworn it would be a red wine crowd. You just never can tell!
