Parental Roller Coasters

Last night saw the revival of pancake night. Despite earlier conversations about said child's grades and computer use it was a peaceful night and the pancakes were delicious. We kept saying, "Why did we ever stop pancake night?" Leo cheerfully devoured pancakes and talked and talked and talked and TALKED.

A good night.

This morning? I asked Leo if he'd brushed his hair and he positively barked at me. We got ready to leave the house and I said, "It's cold out." He barked again, saying, "I KNOW. I'm NOT wearing a coat though." I barked right back, saying, "I didn't ASK you to wear a coat, I just said it was COLD. I get to SPEAK you know."

Oh, such a roller coaster we ride....

My sweet peas.

below: things I made Ernie dig out of the garage a week or so ago when I was in a bad mood. They made me happy.
