Spring Break Eve

We saw Alabama Shakes last night at the Virginia. Best show I've seen outside my living room in awhile! Good company put it over the top. I had one too many glasses of wine AND we bought our favorite late night tipsy dinner of gyros on the way home. Yeah, I feel greeeeat today. Actually I DO, because today is my last day of work until March 30th! Woo-hoooo! I'll have to do a bit of work from home here and there, but I am so looking forward to this. I've never taken Spring Break off before, except last year when we went down to Clemson, so this will be a nice treat. I'm using every bit of vacation I get. Given that the State wants to take away benefits and pension etc away that were promised (no half price tuition....ouch) I better use it while I've got it!

This morning Owen was walking around the house badgering his father with all his plans for what they're going to do over break and chatting about this and chatting about that. We finally laughingly yelled at him to be QUIET and he followed along after us explaining, "You know when Wall-e folds himself out to get a charge from the sun and then he's o.k? That's me but it's attention I need. ATTENTION...I need ATTENTION!" His father just shook his head and snorted and I closed myself in the bathroom. God I love that boy. He just kept talking. Leo, of course, was still happily asleep.
