A Quiet Easter Weekend

We had a relatively quiet Easter weekend. I have still been struggling with the knee strain or sprain or whatever it is I that I did to myself. It was so bad this weekend that I was having problems walking at times, so I finally gave in and went to Convenient Care. They said they didn't think there was any kind of tear or permanent damage...so patience. That, and some ibuprofen and ice. It seems to be a bit better today but it did make for a relatively low key weekend. I had thought about having some friends over for Easter but decided I just wasn't up to it, so just made it us. We kept it pretty casual....didn't pull out the sterling and the flint glass, but it was lovely just the same. A green salad with peas, mashed potatoes (because....Owen) and a ham smoked on the grill with apple wood. The ham sounded good to me but it ended up a bit dried out...delicious nonetheless but we won't try that again. Oh, and a glaze made with sour-cherry bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon and horseradish. Nice.

Super busy week at work coming up...sigh. Onward!

way more ham than we need:
