Middle Ground, Or Lack Thereof
It was only time before I started to be attacking by the Holocaust Deniers I guess. Here is the article if you aren’t familiar with the situation. Tweets, comments and emails have suddenly begun pouring in. Leo said it was announced in class that the teacher would not be back for the rest of the year. I don’t know if that means there’s been some sort of resolution, and that’s the cause, or whether that’s coincidence.
To those who have sent me polite emails outlining their views I commend you as that’s a far more effective way to make your points. To those calling me an egotistical monster or that I will burn in hell, eh, not so much really.
Do I leave them, do I delete them? I don’t know. For now I will leave them. I know I put myself out there, by using my name, and writing about it here. It seemed cowardly to do otherwise though. I have to stand up for what I believe in, and do that without using my name, as many of these commenters are, seems wrong.
What do you do when there seems to be no middle ground? More and more, that's how our country seems to be...divided upon lines that can't or won't compromise.
The whole thing saddens me.
