Newspapers and Morning Glories
It has not been a smooth morning at our house. Perhaps that's why the morning glories are blooming particularly beautifully and blue, and why we got two copies of today's News-Gazette. That may also explain why we sometimes don't get a paper at all. Perhaps the paper delivery person just can sense when someone needs a little lift...and gives them two papers...so then of course, some of us have to go without those days....
Last night, oddly, Ernie and I had a good time helping Owen study for his Constitution test. Something I couldn't have imagined being entertaining before life as a parent. I did have to try to keep the two of them on track. They kept wanting to veer off into political discussions periodically.... How IS it fair that the electoral college elects the president, and not the popular vote? I don't know Owen, I don't know.
I was trying to capture a picture of Rascal sitting on his newel post just now, but his beloved Owen came close so he had to stand up and meow and reach out to him....
And speaking of cats, how do you teach a cat to cover his poop in the catbox? I adore Bob the cat, but I'm not sure he's the brightest of creatures. The catbox is now in a corner of our bathroom (thanks to elderly cats who didn't want to go to the basement anymore...I'm looking you Annie and I'm still not totally convinced) so Bob does his business and then scratches at the wall for awhile until he thinks he's convinced the wall to go cover his poop. I just don't know about all the creatures in this house. I just don't know....
Oh, oh, oh, and thanks to everybody that filled out my survey and left kind, kind comments!!
