Oh My. Aaron Lee Tasjan and Bonnie Whitmore

Oh my. 

Aaron Lee Tasjan and Bonnie Whitmore were freaking incredible. They were, indeed, the real deal. BOTH of them! And then, on top of that, utterly delightful people. They both really blew us away. 

Ernie and I have this thing, honed by many years together I suppose, in which the more excited and effusive I get about something, the calmer and more reserved he gets. It works out pretty well generally....when one of us is sure that our life is falling apart and an utter disaster, the other one is calm, and vice versa. So it take something extreme to get us both giddy at the same moment. During their show on Wednesday I got up at one point to run to the bathroom and get a bit more wine. Ernie was standing in the kitchen door and he just grabbed me by both arms and whisper-shouted, "Oh my God....his SENSE of MELODY!" and we both just giggled with happiness.

Wonderful, wonderful night! We adored having some new folks there....I hope they come back because they were delightful. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all that came out---and brought great food and drink. I was flying high after the show...it took me forever to settle down and foolishly attempt to sleep. We are so fortunate to have this calibre of music in our house. Life is crazy!
