Teen Cruelty, Glasses and It's WEDNESDAY, WEDNESDAY, WEDNESDAY!

1. I finally went and ordered new glasses this weekend. I've been putting it off because it felt like a bother, but since my glasses broke a few months ago I have been wearing a pair that are from 2006. Yeah. That works as well as you can imagine it does.  Anyway I finally acknowledged that I really needed to do it so I dragged the family along to help me. I wanted Owen's recommendation in particular. The whole thing didn't go quite according to plan because I ended up picking the same frames that Owen has. He was not happy. At all.

It IS a pretty crappy thing to do to a 14 year old. 

I'm sorry Owen....but you're wearing Mom glasses....

2. Please don't ever let me buy the Food Network Magazine again, no matter how much I am in the mood for a new food magazine. The most recent issue gave tips on what to do with tater-tots. You could turn them in arancini by breading and frying them (?) or wrap them in bacon. They're probably tasty...but just the same....no more Food Network magazine for this girl.

3. Ernie and Owen borrowed my phone when they went to Chicago. My screen saver came back looking like this. Thank you very much Owen. 

4. Don't forget....WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS AARON LEE TASJAN AND BONNIE WHITMORE! It's gonna be a good one folks. I'll have some red beans and rice and a salad. Come on out....not another show till April and we gotta get through January somehow!
