Owen-bouche

Last night our Blue Apron meal was Miso Ramen and Tempura Acorn Squash with Tatsoi and Soft-Boiled Eggs. Owen and Ernie were in charge of making it. Somehow it took a lot longer than the 35-45 minutes that Blue Apron estimated. I wonder why. Heh. Owen would periodically bellow out to me where I sat in the living room---once complaining that Ernie had broken an egg but that he'd tried to save it. A few minutes later Owen came running out of the kitchen with a plate, shouting, "Mom, Mom, I've got your amuse-bouche!" Lord I love that boy. And there it was, a crispy fried egg with a perfectly runny yolk and some crisped nuggets of ham.

Lord only know what that boy is going to end up doing, but whatever it is....it will be filled with his personality.

Nothing could have matched that but I liked the meal too. I wasn't crazy about the black rice noodles, although I'd been intrigued to try them, but I loved the rest of it. Owen was not crazy about it but he made a valiant effort. He was hoping for either Sakanaya's version of ramen or good old Maruchen. My sweet pea.

Oh, and posters for the next two house concerts. I adore my poster guru Mark Gerking! Oh, oh, oh, and I ALMOST forgot! I went over to Jason Ringenberg's website to see if he had our show listed. He DID...along with a comment:

Potluck supper at 6.00pm with concert to follow after eating "Be sure to make the potluck supper. It is excellent" - Jason.

Could I possibly love Jason MORE?
