Stone Cupid: Julie Christensen, Sergio Webb, and Chris Tench

I was too tired to write about the house concert yesterday. The more fun I have the worse I sleep so I slept like shit both Thursday and Friday nights. Thursday night we had Julie, Sergio and Chris for dinner. I must say it was absolutely delightful. What lovely people. I'd be happy to have them over for dinner every night. Oh, and Chris is a cook's dream....his multiple helpings did my heart good. Thanks Chris! Entertaining, smart, interesting people---it could not have been better. Friday I trundled off to work for my half day and I will tell that, no surprise here, it's a utter treat to come home and have Sergio sitting in your front yard waiting for you. I've also decided that we should have people over for dinner the night before every house concert because Friday was MUCH more relaxed than normal.

The house concert was fabulous. Julie's voice is a life force of its own, Chris, as my beloved Mark Gerking had told me, was a monster on guitar, and Sergio....well, you know....he's Sergio. Incredible songs....some by Julie herself and others by heavyweights such as Kevin Gordon, Amelia White, Chuck Prophet and Leonard Cohen Yes. Indeed. I wish we'd had a few more people for them but those that were here loved them and I think they sold a fair amount of merch. 

We truly felt blessed. Thanks guys.....to share all that talent with us is a great gift to us.
