Bottle Rockets and Plant Sales

Two major things of note this week:

1. We are co-sponsoring the BOTTLE ROCKETS this Friday. Not at our house so we don't have to cook and clean (woo-hooo) but we will be there....go buy a ticket...they're starting to move, so go do it now! They'll give you all the info when you purchase your ticket. We can't wait to see them...the first weekend of summer...come on...it's PERFECT!

2. Plant sales folks, PLANT SALES. On Sunday we ran by Country Arbors and bought some random plants just because I was in the mood...coleus that I don't need but couldn't resist, etc. Look at that delightfully spattery foliage! Their plants are always great. I didn't quite find what I wanted for the planters on the front porch though. We had pansies but they get sad in this kind of heat so we are ready for round two. So yesterday after work we stopped at Danville Gardens Too out on Prospect. I am fond of that place. They are closing for the season so all their plants....like the Proven Winners round pots that are normally $5 each....are ONE DOLLAR! And if you buy $50 worth of plants all the vegetable plants are FREE. We bought more than we probably need but I'm going to peruse the yard tonight and see if I can find spots for a few more things. Remember...closing Saturday. They had lots left yesterday though....
