Miles To Go Before I Sleep
This is what one's desk looks like after selling thousands and thousands of food and drink tickets at a Japanese festival. This is just a small part of the pile..there's much more. As I stack and count, the line, "and miles to go before I sleep" just keeps running through my head.
I'm in that second day of exhaustion, which is worse than the first because the adrenalin has worn off. No complaints though...overall it turned out well. If we could control the weather we'd have a great thing going but just the same it was pretty good. Ernie and I were driving the shamisen player back to the hotel after the festival's afterparty when his translator, a Japanese student, confided that he really wanted to go to Steak n Shake. So off we went and it honestly made me ridiculously happy.
I rarely blog about work but this was a big project for us...we're a tiny staff. Thank you to my three wonderful guys who volunteered nary a complaint (well, almost) and to friends who volunteered (love you Sue) and attended.
Onward.
