Over Break....
Ohhhh, all the plans I had for this week. "Over break, maybe we'll paint the bathroom." "Over break, maybe we'll rebuild the Millennium Falcon." "Over break, maybe we'll go to Chicago." "Over break, maybe we'll really deep clean our room and get rid of old clothes."
"Over break." "Over break." "Over break."
Heh. Well. I have read a cookbook, another book I liked about eating habits and food (Culinary Intelligence by Peter Kaminsky), started Colin Woodard's American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America. I made cabbage and ham soup, which is delicious and I roasted a bunch of shrimp. I watched a ton of old episodes of Top Chef. I made lackluster cinnamon rolls and watched the living room tree get drier and drier. I think there's always a point where we give up watering it. I've eaten too many sweets, probably drank too much wine, and had a bit of a sinus infection that hasn't helped much. I let Ernie make me breakfast every day and listened to him do the dishes while I sat and read the news. I listened to the boys ramble, admired Leo's pictures and Owen's guitar playing, met some friends, and well, that about it. No "Over break" plans were completed.
Ahhhh. Well.
Next year?
