Heart: Eric Brace, Peter Cooper and Thomm Jutz
Heart.
That's what it really all comes down to, doesn't it? And as incredibly talented as these three tall guys are, the songs, the voices, the harmonies, the guitar playing, they've got it all....but one of the most important things they bring, and part of what makes them over the top special, is their heart. It's right out there for everyone to grab hold of. And it feels so good when someone shares their heart like that. It's everything.
Last night was the epitome of why we do these shows. I mean, yes, there was a moment mid-afternoon when I started to get hysterical because the back of the computer in the kitchen was filthy and all of a sudden everything about my house seemed like a disaster. Owen grabbed me the shoulders though and yelled, "Dad, Dad, Cynthia's getting stressed" and they got me calmed down. But then Sue and Owen started the dumplings, people begin to pour in, the dining room filled up with great food (nice job on the potluck folks!), I had a glass of wine, and then...music. And heart. Such utter joy to share all that.
Love to all that were there and shared in this. Our heartfelt thanks.
Thanks to the inimitable Richard Hill...this picture does capture how I felt.
