Oh Good Lord

This morning, in a stunning example of my skills in managing everyday life, I managed to get our water turned off. I vaguely recall that a few months ago we somehow had a credit on our water bill, so we stopped our automatic payment...supposedly for one month. Whoops. Aren't you supposed to get a notice? Of course, I've gotten emails saying 'view and pay your bill' but I was assuming they were being paid so I just clicked on right past them. Sigh.

This morning Owen yelled downstairs, "Uh, Dad? Something happened." Then he was silent for a long time while we yelled, "What? WHAT?" "Uh, there's no water."

Seriously. I'm 54 years old and I managed to get our water disconnected. When do I become a grown up again?

Things don't look good for Union Pacific 844 trip. Rumor has it there was vandalism to a car and it has to be repaired. Don't know if that's the case or not but it looks like our trip is indefinitely on hold.

Bright note?

Walking by Fleurish's window last night. Oh, and a great Belle Meade bourbon tasting at Watson's...more details to come. It's all relative, right? And speaking of relative.....the travel ban....and new ways to define who is part of your family....Christ.
