Ok. Much better start to the day. Car is back, I'm bringing food to my friend tonight, got our tax refund, met with Teri after work who resuscitated me with fried food, wine and kindness. Honestly, I was totally blown away by all the kind offers of assistance. I truly am blessed and I don't go tossing that phrase around...I mean it. Thank you to every one of you. Then went to Shozo Sato's Iago's Plot...his kabuki Othello play at Krannert Center. Oh, and even got a chance for a quick hello to our beloved Morgan and Chu!
It really was extraordinary. We came out of the theatre to this:
At least we know he cares. Because we were so late he left two little plates of leftover pizza for us. God I love that child. And I swear we'd told him where we were going.
DO NOT MISS Friday's house concert. I know there's a lot going on in town...and I SWEAR TO GOD I'll never book another show in April (although Teri says I said that last year). I thought I had checked conflicts...not the weekend of the marathon, of Ebertfest, etc. Boneyard. Damn it. You will be very happy if you make it...first set won't start til 7:30ish...so do your art thing or whatever else you have to do and then come on over. Potluck of course starts at 6:00.
It's a going to be a good one! Just yell if you need info/directions, etc.
The cherry blossoms at Japan House are still stunning despite the rain. The yoshino have peaked but the weeping cherries are just opening....
