I just spent most of the morning doing medical stuff: messaging various doctors and nurses, looking through our insurance plan to ensure this and that is covered, paying bills because damn, even copays add up when you go as often as we do. It's crazy how time consuming it is.

Ernie's at the Honda dealership for some recall thing and of course they told him about all the work the car needs. Sigh.

Ok, let's talk about something more cheerful.

For Father's Day I gave Ernie a crossword puzzle and I think it's the best gift I've ever given him. He used to love doing puzzles but it's been years. It makes me very happy to see him engrossed in it.

Ernie's perfect gluten free biscuits

Ok, it's not the most beautiful meal but damn it was good. We had some kielbasa and romaine in the refrigerator. We sliced it up, browned it, tossed it on the romaine with a bit of parmesan (which I'd skip next time) and put a nice mustard lemon vinaigrette on it.

I haven't had any gluten free bread for awhile so this toasted cheese and arugula sandwich was just damned wonderful. Long live toast

We don't come across much Bicentennial stuff on our wanders. It made me smile.

Onward.
